Calculating your baby's chart: what you need
A baby birth chart needs a date and birthplace. If the birth record includes a reliable time, the calculator can also work out the rising sign and houses. The Sun and Moon positions come from the birth moment, not from a generic date list. Without a time, the Moon's degree and sometimes its sign remain uncertain.
Check the birth certificate or hospital record for the time and city first. The recorded minute may be rounded. If the birth was near a rising-sign boundary, compare what a small time difference does in the calculator. If no time is available, start with a partial chart rather than inventing one.
Date tables are approximate when the Sun changes signs; the transition hour varies by year. The free, unsaved calculator on this page shows Sun, Moon and rising signs. A child's details do not replace your own profile. The result should not be read as a prediction about development or care.
How to read the Moon sign, and what it cannot tell you
Astrological tradition uses the Moon to reflect on needs, habits and closeness. A placement such as Taurus Moon starts a symbolic interpretation. It cannot tell you which lullaby will work, when a baby needs feeding or how development will proceed.
The Moon moves about thirteen degrees a day. A birth time narrows its degree and, near a sign change, can settle its sign. If the time record is uncertain, it is more useful to keep that uncertainty visible than to present a precise-looking result.
Use the chart as a prompt for reflection and observation. For sleep safety, feeding or development, follow your pediatrician rather than an astrological reading. The American Academy of Pediatrics' parent guide is an evidence-based starting point for questions about the sleep environment.
What a baby's chart is not
It is not a script of fate. A chart offers a symbolic reading; it does not measure a child's temperament or future. Children born on the same day grow up in different circumstances and have different experiences. Do not use a chart as a verdict on who a child will become.
It is not a label either. "Scorpio babies are difficult" is not astrology, it is laziness. Each of the twelve signs carries a strength and that strength's shadow; an honest reading names both and refuses to lock a child inside one word.
And it is never a medical instrument. Sleep, feeding and development concerns belong to your pediatrician — always. Baby Astro is a tool for awareness and language; it does not go near health decisions.
