Select your birth date, recorded hour if known, and city. Without an hour, we check for a sign crossing during the local day.

Choose a city from the suggestions. Your birth details and result are not saved to an account or sent to a server. With analytics consent, only completion is measured.

01

A position, not a personality verdict

A Saturn sign is the tropical-zodiac segment Saturn occupied at birth. It cannot establish someone's achievement or character by itself.

02

A slow planet can still cross a boundary

Saturn usually stays in one sign for years. On the day it changes signs, however, birth time can decide which of two results applies.

03

A return is a different question

This tool calculates natal Saturn. It does not date a future return to the same degree or predict what will happen in your life.

How do you find your Saturn sign?

Your Saturn sign is the thirty-degree tropical-zodiac segment containing Saturn's ecliptic longitude at your birth moment. A birth-year table gives a rough answer for most dates, but not for someone born near a sign ingress. Apparent retrograde motion can carry Saturn back across a boundary, making a simple year-to-sign assignment unreliable.

Enter your date, recorded birth hour if available, and city. The city's historical time zone converts the local birth moment to UTC; the calculator then finds Saturn's apparent position. The result is its sign and, when an hour is known, degree. Interpreting that position astrologically is a separate step. This tool uses the Western tropical zodiac; sidereal or Vedic calculations may display another sign.

What if you do not know your birth time?

Saturn moves slowly, so on many birth dates it occupies one sign from start to finish. You can then find the sign without a recorded hour. But when Saturn enters another sign during your local birthday, someone born in the morning and someone born that evening can have different results. Inventing noon is not a reliable way to choose between them.

The unknown-time option compares the beginning and end of the local date. If the sign stayed the same, it shows one sign but no exact degree. If Saturn crossed a boundary, it shows both candidates rather than choosing one without evidence. Saturn's house also depends on a reliable birth time. City suggestions cover major locations; a nearby substitute remains an approximation.

What can this placement mean?

Astrological tradition associates Saturn with time, limits, responsibility and durable structures. Its sign supplies a symbolic vocabulary for those themes. A placement alone cannot diagnose someone's fears, declare they will fail or imply that hardship is deserved. Many people born across the same years share the sign; their circumstances and experiences do not have to match.

A house placement, aspects to personal planets and a person's lived situation add more context than this one sign. Treat the result as a question rather than a verdict: where has patience, structure or a boundary actually helped you? Do not base health, relationship, career or financial decisions on this symbol alone.

Is a Saturn sign the same as a Saturn return?

No. Natal Saturn's sign is fixed in your birth chart. A Saturn return is Saturn in the later sky coming back to that natal position. Its orbit around the Sun takes about 29.4 years, but your age alone cannot date an exact return. Apparent retrograde motion may bring Saturn to the same natal degree more than once.

This calculator gives only the natal position; it does not list future contact dates. The related guide explains the return concept. First use the free full birth chart to see Saturn alongside other placements, then consult a transit ephemeris for a separate timing question. The free sign result does not require an Astro-Plus purchase.
